An illuminating and interactive evening workshop for mid-career professional women. If you wonder whether you are doing the right things to get where you want to go in your career, come to this workshop and find out! For most successful people, we believe at some level in our skills and talents. In fact, coming up through the early years of our careers, our skills and talents (meaning our technical skills and talents here) are what we rely on to create our success; to establish and prove ourselves; and the recognition and rewards we receive are typically based on our successful demonstration of these technical skills. For many of us, however, we can reach a plateau of sorts where something more or different may be needed. We might sense that the old tricks aren’t working as well for us anymore. The common response is to double down, work harder, white knuckle it; basically, to do more of what we’ve done in the past to create our success. In this interactive workshop, we are going to look at this phenomenon together and aim to get smart about whether or not your current strategies will work to get you where you want to go. You will learn: the downside of some of our best traits; what “situational leadership” means and how to use it to navigate complexity; greater self-awareness about your own style(s) and habits; and new tools to choose from to become a stronger leader.
