Last week, we talked about self-awareness and how to recognize whether you’re hiding at work. You also took an honest look at some of your patterns in last week’s Learning Lab with your Self-Assessment Worksheet and reflective journaling. By engaging with your labwork, you have better equipped yourself to spot some of the ways hiding shows up for all of us in one way or another. You also have insight into the fears that drive us into hiding and you know those fears are just ideas.
This week, we’ll go behind the scenes to get a better understanding of how it is those scary ideas get such a hold on us and take on lives of their own. You’ll learn about your role in creating your reality and you’ll also pick up skills that will empower you to skillfully appreciate new angles, reframe your fears, and be on your way to being a better, more creative collaborator.
Week 3 Learning Objectives
At the end of this week’s lesson, you will be able to answer the following questions:
- Am I short-circuiting reality?
- Why would I do that?
- What can I do to get better at seeing things from other points of view?
