So, what can you do about this?
Last week, you learned about self-management: The ability to use self-awareness to show up the way you want to.
This week we expand on that idea by looking at how your view of reality is informed. Where we’re going is this: Habitual ways of thinking, seeing, and listening are not the only ways of thinking and seeing available to you. If you are like most of us, however, you often let default patterns determine your behavior… and your results.
- The choices you make — about what you see, what you believe, and what you do — set you up to create the outcomes you’re after.
The thing is, if you keep doing the same things, you will keep getting the same results. To disrupt the pattern, you need to try something different.
This lesson’s experiments and Learning Lab activities are designed to support you in forming new habits through deliberate practice. Take on this week’s labwork knowing that it is laying the foundation for you to begin building higher-order capacities starting with the game-changing moves you will receive in the next CCO lesson.
